Position Summary

Serves as the financial aid coordinator and liaison for dual enrollment students and ensures timely, effective, and thorough communication and collection regarding financial obligation for prospective and current students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages communication with students and parents regarding statements, due dates, payment options, and collection on current student accounts to expedite drawdowns and funds being sent to the University in a timely manner.
  • Manages all aspects of dual enrollment financial aid including communication with the dual enrollment offices, consortium agreements, and preparation of student aid files, with the exception of final data entry for the state.
  • Researchers and processes direct deposit refunds, direct deposit returns, and similar items.
  • Counsels students and parents regarding financial obligations and payment plans.
  • Returns phone calls and emails from both personal and the general student financial services phone and email account.
  • Assists the Director of Student Financial Services with special projects as assigned
  • Builds knowledge and understanding of all Student Financial Services processes in order to provide relief to the team due to unexpected absences and high-volume seasons.
  • Once a working knowledge of the job is achieved, serve as Student Financial Services lead in absence of the Director of Student Financial Services.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will supervise student workers.

Office Hours

  • MTWRF: 8am-5pm (1-hour lunch break)

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software. Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
