Job Description

The Tippie College of Business is committed to recruiting a diverse student body, faculty, and staff.

The Department of Marketing within the Tippie College of Business at The University of Iowa invites applications for Adjunct Instructor(s) for the Fall 2025 semester. This is a short-term appointment and does not include benefits. The appointment may be renewed contingent on performance, departmental needs, and availability of funding. The teaching load for this position is one or two courses per semester and is dependent on student enrollment. The courses for these positions will be Professional Preparation in Marketing, Sales Management, and Marketing Metrics at the undergraduate level and Marketing Management at the MBA level.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Appropriate background checks (e.g. criminal background and credential checks) will be conducted.

Education Requirement

An earned Master’s degree in business or related area or equivalent experience. All specialty areas in Marketing will be considered.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional experience (typically 3-5 years) in a related field.
  • Evidence of teaching or professional development, which can be demonstrated through experience in classroom teaching, pedagogically-related advising or mentoring, curriculum development or other means.
  • Proficiency in presentation software and computer software applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Evidence of professional oral and written communication techniques, including demonstrated presentation skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Some teaching experience at the collegiate level.
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of University course systems ICON and MAUI.
