Your next role as a Miracle Maker
Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Department team as a Sr. Accountant, General Ledger. As aSenior Accountant, General Ledger you will be a key member of the accounting team primarily responsible for the accounting of accruals relating to operating expenses, credit cards and royalties. You will process month end activities, prepare supporting schedule for SEC reporting and prepare other items for annual and quarter end reviews.
How you will make an impact:
- Complete the month-end close process on time meeting all deadlines, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accruals such as operating expenses, credit card transactions, and royalties.
- Support general ledger activities, including CIP, Fixed Assets, Allocations, Prepaids, and Cash Transactions.
- Prepare and review supporting schedules for SEC reporting disclosures, as needed.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of audit documentation in compliance with public company requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including HR, Payroll, Tax, Legal, and other finance teams to ensure alignment and timely flow of information.
- Identify opportunities and support initiatives for process improvements, system enhancements, and strengthen internal controls.
- Assist in ad-hoc projects and other functions as required to support business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The skills and experience that you will bring:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in internal audit, finance, or accounting within a dynamic, fast-paced corporate environment, with a Bachelor's degree required.
- CPA certification highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with NetSuite or Blackline preferred.
- Strong analytical capabilities, project management experience, and a track record of consistent follow-through.
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships with all levels of employees, management, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle complex accounting transactions and provide strategic financial insights.
- Proven track record of managing audits, ensuring compliance, and mitigating financial risks.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 annually. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
