In this role, the IT Solutions Specialist will be a vital connector between the Athletics department and IT, collaborating closely with coaches, administrators, and student-athletes to address unique technology needs. This position involves designing, implementing, and supporting IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency, performance analytics, compliance, and fan engagement. As an embedded member of Athletics IT within the Office of Information Technology (OIT), this role provides essential guidance on technology decisions and supports our teams in achieving excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Bring expertise to advise on innovative IT solutions that maximize business value and meet customer needs. Collaborate closely with Athletics teams to validate business cases and guide them in selecting the best technology solutions
- Take the lead in designing, developing, testing, and deploying cutting-edge IT solutions. Work hand-in-hand with Athletics staff and central IT to ensure the implementation of solutions that meet organizational needs
- Work as a member of the Athletics IT Team, coordinating and reviewing Athletics software and ensuring compliance with University standards
- Serve as an internal consultant supporting a diverse range of specific Athletic systems, including Sports Performance and team specific, seeking ways to leverage University-level processes and successfully deliver on behalf of Athletics
- Participate in Athletic events and activities such as Football Game Day

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Management Information Systems or equivalent degree and 2+ years work experience or equivalent work experience
- Business Analysis and Quality Assurance background, including knowledge of QA standards and methodologies
- Systems Development Life Cycle including requirements analysis, design, build,
- test and deploy
- Project management experience in Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
- Continuous Improvement experience
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, strong written and oral communication skills, strong documentation skills, and strong customer service orientation.
Competency in the support of:
- Experience in technology consulting, requirements gathering, and documenting business process flows
- Technical proficiency across various IT domains
- Google G-suite applications
- Mac and Windows operating systems (OS)
