Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for overseing the design and construction of power delivery projects, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the satifaction of both new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will have an experience in public utility design and construction, as well as business management.

Responsibilities

The Project Manager will:

    Manage the scope, schedule, and budget of individual projects, and will work with a matrixed team to ensure tasks and deliverables are completed on time
  • Act as the primary point of contact for both internal and client teams, and will manage construction, procurement, invoice preparation, and project documentation

Additionally, the Project Manager will:

  • Lead project acquisition efforts, identify opportunities, and work collaboratively with the marketing team to preapare bids and interviews for jobs
  • Have a working knowledge of client and industry standards related to design and construction, and will be able to negotiate solutions to client concerns or project overages
Qualifications
  • A valid driver's license
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a relevant field, at least 3 years of work experience in a relevant field and position
  • Strong skills in MS Office

Desired Qualifications

  • PMP certification, EIT or PE license,
  • Master's degree in engineering or related science, business, or organizational management, and a working knowledge of client and industry design and construction standards.

The Project Manager's evaluation will be based, in part, on the timely and accurate completion of work, as well as their ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and demonstrate a positive attitude.

The pay range for this California position is $100,000.00- $120,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
