Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Operations, the Practice Manager is responsible for the management and operations of the Internal Medicine practice in Hillcrest in accordance with federal, local, and internal standards, policies and regulations. This includes, but not limited to, daily clinic operations, fiscal management, recruitment, onboarding, training, development and retention of staff, program planning and/or external marketing activities to ensure delivery of exceptional quality care and experience to all patients and caregivers of the practice. This position will resolve escalated issues and serves as a resource in areas under supervision. Oversight of administrative areas such as practice revenue management, billing systems and procedures, facilities and safety procedures, registration, new patient coordination, scheduling, medical records storage and maintenance, and insurance authorizations. Leads and/or participates in developing quality improvement programs and ensures effective implementation and monitoring to meet or exceed organizational, divisional or departmental goals. Evaluates and ensures resolution to incident reports across a broad range of issues, such as privacy, safety, or customer service. Will supervise patient support staff such as patient service representatives, medical assistants, LVNs, and RNs. Management of clinicians will be in partnership with the Clinic Medical Director and includes participation in recruitment, onboarding and personnel management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Nine (9) years of related healthcare experience, education or training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus Five (5) years of related healthcare experience/training, including three (3) or more years in healthcare clinical operations.
- Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience.
- Experience and proven success in supervisory, organizational, and customer service skills to effectively supervise and prioritize the activities of subordinate staff.
- Ability to build strong relationships with physicians, clinical team members, community organizations, colleagues and the healthcare community.
- Strong administration and organization skills and abilities. Superior attention to detail and strong time management skills. Ability to plan for human and physical resource needs and to revise plans in response to changing priorities or emerging data.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to train and mentor subordinates, convey complex information or workflows in a clear and concise manner, and prepare and present various reports, documentation, analyses, and project proposals.
- Experience and demonstrated success in developing, management and implementation of complex workflows.
- Five (5) or more years of supervisory experience.
- Primary Care experience within a large health system.
- Budgeting and history of successful financial management/rev cycle management.
- Demonstrated success in project management and data analysis.
- Human resource experience in an union environment.
- Policy and protocol creation and management.
- Lean Six Sigma training and experience.
- Experience working in a physician dyad (i.e. Clinic medical director).
- Working knowledge of the Epic electronic practice management and medical records system.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- This salaried position supports a 7 day a week operation.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $85,400 - $156,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $40.90 - $75.10
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
