Position Overview
The School of Business at Menlo College seeks well-qualified applicants for a full-time Assistant Professor faculty position in Business Analytics and Information Systems.
We are seeking a highly qualified candidate whose rank aligns with their credentials. The candidate should be ready to teach in our undergraduate Business Analytics and graduate Information Systems courses, covering various areas, such as lower division, upper division, and master's degree levels. Additionally, the candidate will be integral in developing new or redesigning analytics and information systems courses.
The ideal candidate must have successfully earned a research doctorate from an AACSB-accredited school in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field by the start date of August 1, 2025. Current doctoral students should be on track to complete all degree requirements before their hire date at Menlo College.

We strongly prefer candidates with substantial relevant work experience or research directly related to the practice of their discipline. The ideal candidate will have the interest and aptitude to build relationships with organizations in Silicon Valley and the greater San Francisco Bay Area and a desire to participate in courses and programs closely aligned with business analytics and information systems, including project-based collaborations between students, faculty, and local organizations. Preference will be given to candidates that, in addition to their expertise in business analytics and information systems, also have a teaching and research focus on those areas.

- Demonstrated evidence of teaching experience, a strong potential for teaching excellence, and a desire to work in a collaborative, team-teaching setting.
- Scholarly research interests in business analytics and information systems.
- Exhibited interest in and an aptitude for building relationships with organizations in Silicon Valley and the greater Bay Area.
- Excited about collaborating to develop and deliver innovative, practice-grounded learning experiences to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Equipped with substantial relevant research directly related to the practice of their discipline and preferably with related work experience.
- Motivated to participate in courses and programs closely aligned with current business analytics and information systems topics, including project-based collaborations between students and faculty.
Key Responsibilities
- The teaching workload for faculty members in the Menlo College School of Business who are actively engaged in scholarly activities, hold a terminal degree, and complete one PRJ requirement annually is set at 3-3, encompassing both the Fall and Spring semesters. Absent fulfillment of the PRJ requirement, the teaching workload will be 3-4.
- Undertake and publish scholarship grounded in business analytics and information systems practice to maintain AACSB SA status.
- Engage actively in shared governance and other service assignments on campus.
- Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students.
- Contribute to curriculum assessment as needed.
- Participate in a collaborative and supportive environment with colleagues with substantial business experience and research expertise.
- Participate in courses and programs that are project-based collaborations between students, faculty, and local companies.
