This position is responsible to provide logistical support to the company and its employees in the area of human resources to include but not limited to: maintaining employee records, payroll and benefits administration, insurance claims management, employee relations, recruiting and selecting employees, implementation and interpretation of policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains and keeps accurate personnel files by accurately updating information in the human resources information system including but not limited to: hiring, separations, pay rate changes, promotions, transfers, vacation and sick accruals, medical coverages, leave of absences, etc.
- Provide key information regarding corporate policy, benefits, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state legislation.
- Performs benefit administration duties; processes enrollments for health and company sponsored 401K plans; assists employees with form completion and processes monthly insurance billings of medical plans; conducts open enrollment meetings; acts as a liaison between the employees and the insurance carriers.
- Processes insurance claims for workers’ compensation, TDI, property and general liability incidents.
- Assists to develop and implement recruiting programs. Conducts interviews and independently makes hiring decisions based on the suitability of the applicant and the staffing requirements of the store.
- Processes bi-weekly payroll for the entire company, identifies and resolves warnings and errors, and processes void and manual payroll checks.
Preferred Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree or at least 3 years of human resources experience is preferred. Cloud based payroll experience is preferred.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Performs work with a “sense of urgency” and possesses a positive attitude.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with the public.
- Knowledgeable regarding EEO and labor laws
- Personal vehicle with proof of insurance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
