Title: Financial Aid Advisor III (Financial Aid Specialist for State Aid)
Salary Range: $3,490 - 4,363 per month
Contract Term Length: 12 Months
Standard Hours: 37.5
Work Location: On-Site
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary
Acts as a primary assistant to the Associate Dean of Financial Aid and Financial Aid Director. Is the primary contact for all state programs.
Job Duties:
Manage Work Ready Scholarship awarding and disbursement.
Manage the KEES and CAP Grant program.
Manage Early Childhood Education Scholarship, KHEAA National Guard, and other state aid programs and waivers.
Performs financial aid verification, disbursement, authorization, directs loan processing, counseling, and reporting requirements. Resolve individual student issues and conflicts from the KCTCS Student Service Center and/or Starfish. Use individual discretion to implement resolution.
Use professional knowledge to determine eligibility for dependency overrides, EFC and budget recalculations, and Unusual Enrollment History Appeals. Manage aid disbursement for late start classes and review NSLDS transfer monitoring.
Enter Third Party, Waivers and External Scholarships for Financial Aid resource reporting in PeopleSoft.
Conduct financial aid / scholarship presentations at workshops, orientation, high school workshops, and other community organizations/events.
Other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President for Student Success and Associate Dean of Financial Aid.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (related field), and four years related experience, or equivalent.
