Term: Full-time Tenure track. Visiting appointments considered. This position will begin August 1, 2025.
General Function: This position is responsible for teaching in the College of Business. The incumbent will serve as an academic advisor to students; assist with recruiting students for the College of Business; and serve on assigned committees. The incumbent will continue to be active in his or her field through research participation in a professional association and/or consulting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach 24 hours per year in the field of accounting at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
- Provide spiritual, academic, and professional mentorship to students
- Assist with recruiting, retaining and professional placement of business students
- Participate in the Accounting Advisory Board of the College of Business
- Serve on university- and college-level faculty committees
- Further the mission of the College of Business by providing a challenging curriculum in the accounting program; develop community among the students, faculty, staff, and industry members; and doing all things to the glory of God and His son, Jesus the Christ.
Reporting & Working Relationships
Reports to the Dean of the College of Business Administration
Close collaboration with the faculty of the College of Business, North Institute personnel and the Accounting Advisory Board.
Minimum & Preferred Requirements
Minimum Requirements – CPA and Master’s Degree in business or accounting from a regionally accredited institution, including 18 or more credit hours of accounting at the graduate level, and 3 years of experience in the field of accounting.
Preferred Requirements – CPA and PhD from a regionally accredited institution in accounting or related field and 5 years of experience in accounting.
