Vice President of Human Resources
Shift: M-Fr 8a-5p, after hours as needed
Estimated Pay Range: $125k-150k/annually

We operate Behavioral Health Hospitals, Detox and Residential facilities, and a variety of other ancillary line business that are here to support those who are seeking recovery.
The Role Itself
NewVista Health & Wellness currently owns and operates four behavioral health hospitals and residential SUD facilities in Ohio and Indiana. We also operate a variety of supporting services lines spanning 3 states.
NewVista is currently recruiting for the key position of Vice President of Human Resources, who will provide general human resources support, as well as cultural support, for multiple facilities.
The successful candidate for the VP of Human Resources position will have a four year degree, with current PHR/SPHR certification a plus. Three or more years of experience in Human Resources environment with multi-facility HR responsibilities is required. The ideal candidate will focus on enhancing the employee experience and developing best in class people practices company wide. We are looking for previous experience in the areas of recruitment and retention and a proven track record of reducing turnover.
Job responsibilities of the VP of Human Resources include:
- Set and implement a vision, strategy, and operating model to create the exceptional employee experience.
- Create a partnership with the business functions and HR leaders on an in-depth review of feedback, culture and conduct.
- Overall, this person will span the traditional HR lifecycle, employee programs, and career pathing.
- Deliver a trusted employee engagement, culture, and conduct brand known to employees and managers as a place where their voices are heard and acted on accordingly.
- Problem resolution experience with demonstrated ability to influence all employee levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail.
- Disciplined and drive for results; proactively identifies and engages key stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Recruitment, hiring experience with management positions
- Develop and implement facility specific recruitment and retention plans.
- Visits facilities for intervention, audit and training. Regular travel required.
- Experience with employee engagement, employee programs, and employee career pathing
Job Requirements:
- A degree in Human Resources or related field is strongly preferred.
- Certification as PHR or SPHR preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in human resources, including recruiting.
- Highly proficient in MS Word, Power Point, and Excel: computer skills are strongly utilized in this position
- Prior experience with HRIS systems and reporting software preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent customer service
- A professional appearance and demeanor
- High level of confidentiality in all matters of the job
- Detail oriented, excellent writing, grammar and communication skills
