The Opportunity:

Your combination of people skills and system administrator knowledge makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. We're looking for a system administrator to help us provide support to IT systems for the warfighter.

As a system administrator on our team, you'll provide system and network administration to Unclassified, Classified, and SCI systems. You'll ensure personnel with privileged access to SCI systems, whether system or network administration based, shall have and maintain the appropriate certification corresponding to the highest level of their functions as identified in DoD guidance. You'll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning.

This is an opportunity to gain experience in areas such as virtualization, Linux, and macOS. We focus on growing as a team, so we'll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with IT systems administration, including installing, troubleshooting, and debugging computer systems
  • Experience with VMware products, including vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, and Veeam
  • Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Knowledge of Windows, UNIX, and Linux systems, macOS, SSO and directory services, and PKI
  • Knowledge of Web markup, including HTML, HTML5, AngularJS, and CSS, and scripting, including JavaScript, Shell, and Python languages or frameworks
  • Knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira applications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Security+ Certification
  • Linux+ or RHCSA Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with database management, DogTag PKI, or Distributed File Systems
  • Knowledge of PKI Infrastructure
  • Ability to work in many areas of system administration from client to server
  • Ability to automate tasks with scripting on Ansible playbooks
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
