Job Description
We are a growing non-profit foundation, passionate about children, families, and education. In operation for 40 years, we serve the Edmonds School District and its families to ensure every student in our district has the resources to learn, thrive, and contribute to our vibrant community.
Every year, we serve thousands of children and their families through 21 different programs and services, including providing thousands of meals and food items, hygiene items, financial assistance, wrap around support, classroom and schoolwide grants, post-secondary scholarships and so much more!

Job Definition:
Under general direction, the Business Manager is a leadership position whose purpose is to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the Foundation’s operations, programs, and administration. In this position, the Business Manager interacts with Foundation staff, donors, Edmonds School District employees, students, and the community.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Management:
Manage the execution, flow, outcomes, and reports of various Foundation programs including:
- Classroom and Schoolwide Grants Program
- Early Learning Program
- Scholarship Program
- Ambassador Program
Manage software programs including: inventory system, volunteer module, donor database, Survey Monkey Apply
Awards letters notifications, reminders, and follow up
Oversee selection committees
Communicate about programs
Communication:
Creates and manages social media content
Social media advertising
Creates and publishes e-newsletters
Work with Web Designer
Work with Google Search & SEO company to create ads and campaigns
Website management, including content, media, updates, and back end tools
Graphic Design:
Create collateral materials for programs, announcements, events and as needed in Canva
Manage annual report content, design, and design teams
Manage outside graphic design teams
Administrative:
Update on-line donations with campaign and appeal details
Manage failed credit card payments
Email invoices to business donors
Manage and pay minor bills and invoices
Assist with bank deposits
Order office stationery and supplies
Temporarily will:
Enter donations in the database
Assist with thank you card writing
Events:
Assist w/ Foundation event planning and executing
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience
Any combination of education, training, and/or experience equivalent to completion of bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree or technical experience. 5 years in non-profit community development, community building, community relations and meeting facilitation. Strong commitment to the Foundation’s mission and vision. Ability to meet deadlines, changing priorities. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. General knowledge of program management. Supervisory experience.
Skill and Ability to:
- Multi-task, develop and implement project plans, management multiple concurrent projects
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; able to work well with others
- Creative and strategic thinker
- Respond to sensitive matters and/or situations with discretion, tact, maintain confidentiality
- Utilize Office, Windows, Google Docs based computer applications and databases
Other Characteristics:
Washington’s driver's license; must provide proof of auto insurance; willingness to travel for meetings and conferences (mileage/travel expenses reimbursed); willingness to work extra hours or weekends (if required).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
