TemporaryEssential Job Duties
Assist lab manager with scheduling and maintaining the spinning
lab for the purpose of education and applied research for
industrial partners.
Help to ensure adequate supplies, materials and repair parts are available for all users of the laboratory.
Assist lab manager in designing experiments to best utilize results obtained.
Assist with scheduling student projects.
Help students determine materials needed to complete class projects.
Instruct faculty, undergraduate and graduate students on the operation of spinning lab equipment.
Assist in teaching undergraduate laboratories under the supervision of lab manager.
Participate in discussions of laboratory research results and work with faculty, graduate students and industrial clients.
Provide trial data effectively to lab manager.
Assist lab manager so that all machinery and processes are ready for operation at all times.
Operate all equipment in the spinning lab.
Help to ensure equipment cleanliness. Help to ensure lab visitors comply with all lab safety rules.

Must comply with all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing safety glasses, safety shoes and hearing protection as directed. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Minimum Experience/Education
Work experience in a manufacturing setting. High school diploma or equivalency.

Two years work experience in textile manufacturing.
Associate or Bachelor degree in a technically related field.
